The Institute
The research Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems - iCoSys defines its scope in the fast-moving field of AI for which computer science, data science, distributed computing, mathematical modeling and systems engineering are the main supports.
iCoSys fosters technological innovation in the field of AI and complex system for sustainable economic development and better education. By promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology from the academic field to the local and regional economy, iCoSys intends to develop interdisciplinary approaches and build national and international cooperation.
Current research activities and achievements are in artificial intelligence and computer science, with a large diversity of application domains including smart buildings, energy management, medical applications, intelligent wireless networks, smart mobility or event detection in video surveillance. The institute specializes in areas such as massive information processing, cloud computing, machine learning, deep learning business intelligence and signal processing.
