On 15 October, partners of the Interreg France-Suisse REPLAY project gathered at Caran d’Ache in Geneva for their first technical meeting, marking another step towards facilitating the use of recycled plastics in industry.
Following the project’s official launch in Lyon, this meeting brought together researchers and industrial partners to exchange expertise, discuss technical challenges and coordinate the next steps of the project.
Exploring industrial challenges together
Hosted by Caran d’Ache, the meeting included a visit to the company’s industrial facilities, technical discussions and collaborative workshops.
These exchanges provided an opportunity to better understand industrial needs and explore how research and engineering expertise can support the integration of recycled plastics into industrial applications.
iCoSys and HEIA-FR involvement
The iCoSys team is actively contributing to this collaborative initiative, with Sébastien Rumley, Berat Denizdurduran and Ornella Vaccarelli involved in the project.
They are working alongside colleagues from other HEIA-FR institutes, including Stefan Hengsberger, Alexis Lesquereux, Hans-Ulrich Siegenthaler and Nick Mülhauser.
This collaboration illustrates the importance of combining complementary expertise across research institutes and industry to address practical sustainability challenges.
Supporting the transition towards a circular economy
Through REPLAY, iCoSys contributes to a Franco-Swiss research and innovation effort aimed at encouraging the use of recycled materials and supporting more circular industrial practices.
Congratulations to all colleagues involved, and many thanks to Caran d’Ache for hosting this first technical meeting!
