The Fribourg-based LegalTech start-up Neur.on has been acquired by the Paris-based group Legal 230, marking a new step in its development.

The foundations of Neur.on were laid through Datalambic, an applied research project conducted by iCoSys together with Hieronymus AG. The project combined expertise in AI, data engineering and document processing to address the challenges of specialized neural machine translation. Its completion in 2022 contributed directly to the creation of Neur.on.

Today, this journey from applied research to technology transfer and market adoption reaches another milestone. The acquisition highlights how research developed at iCoSys can move beyond the laboratory and contribute to innovative solutions with real-world impact.
