The AI Days will return from 17 to 19 February 2027, bringing together the artificial intelligence community across Yverdon-les-Bains, Geneva and Fribourg. The call for contributions is now open, with a submission deadline of 25 November 2026.
Organized by the Swiss Artificial Intelligence Centre for SMEs (CSIA-PME) and funded by the Engineering and Architecture domain of the HES-SO, the annual AI Days bring together researchers, developers, practitioners and users interested in artificial intelligence in French-speaking Switzerland.
The event is open to all, with a particular focus on leaders and decision-makers from SMEs who want to explore how advances in AI can support their activities. Researchers, academics and students are also invited to participate, fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange and new connections between academia and industry.
Three days of exchange around applied AI
Following the strong interest in previous editions, AI Days 2027 will take place over three days, from 17 to 19 February, in Yverdon-les-Bains (VD), Geneva (GE) and Fribourg (FR).
The programme will combine different formats designed to encourage both scientific exchange and practical discussions, including round tables, workshops, poster and demo sessions, parallel tracks and speed-dating networking sessions.
Presentations will address industrial advances and experiences, successful collaborations between academia and industry, as well as novel academic and applied research results.
Topics of interest include Ethical and Explainable AI, Privacy and Security in AI, Sustainable AI, Industry 4.0, Healthcare and MedTech AI, Edge and Distributed AI, Multimodal AI and GenAI/LLMs, AI maturity in SMEs, AI and EdTech, Human-in-the-Loop AI, fine-tuning, RAG and agentic AI.
Call for contributions
AI Days 2027 welcomes contributions from both the academic and industrial communities. Four submission categories are available:
- Scientific papers: short and long contributions of 4–8 pages presenting novel research results. Submissions will be peer-reviewed, and accepted academic contributions will be published in the conference proceedings.
- Industrial contributions: one-page submissions presenting an AI-related innovation or project within a company. These contributions will be presented during the conference but will not be included in the proceedings.
- Workshops: proposals for interactive sessions lasting from 2–4 hours to a full day. Proposals should describe the objectives, format, planned activities and target audience.
- Posters and demos: abstracts of up to 2,000 characters showcasing ongoing research projects, AI systems and prototypes.
Key dates
The submission deadline is 25 November 2026.
The rebuttal and interaction period with reviewers is scheduled for 3 January 2027, followed by author notification on 10 January 2027 and the camera-ready submission deadline on 20 January 2027.
AI Days 2027 will take place from 17 to 19 February 2027.
