The AI Days 2024, hosted by the Swiss Center for Artificial Intelligence for SMEs (CSIA-PME), marked another milestone on the AI innovation journey. Taking place on February 6th and 7th, 2024, the event was a dynamic convergence of over 200 minds across two locations: Lausanne and Sion.
Over the course of two days, a lineup of distinguished speakers took the stage to illuminate the latest research activities, both at HES-SO and beyond, shedding light on recent strides in artificial intelligence and its applications across various domains:

- Healthcare & MedTech
- AI Tools, Edge Computing & MLOps
- Energy & Smart Living
- Generative AI
- NLP, Text & Document Analysis
The comprehensive program included a variety of talks, alongside poster presentations and demonstrations by researchers and companies. In Lausanne, the first day featured two participatory workshops alongside sessions: “AI and Responsible Innovation, Ethics, and Regulation” in the morning and “Methodologies for AI Adoption in SMEs” in the afternoon.
The event, open to the public, attracted individuals primarily involved in the management and strategy of one or more SMEs, fostering opportunities for companies and engineers to:
- Forge connections with HES-SO engineers and AI-focused enterprises.
- Explore diverse AI use cases through company presentations and applied research projects.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Swiss AI Center activities and the benefits they offer.
