The aim of the i2b living lab project – “Infrastructures to blind” – is to co-develop, in close partnership with visually impaired and/or blind people, an innovative and inclusive ecosystem to improve their mobility within public spaces, neighbourhoods and buildings.

These people have particular difficulties in getting around, reducing their accessibility to services, their quality of life and their social integration. This situation can be improved by putting in place appropriate infrastructure and developing travel assistance tools.

The living lab project is made up of several prototypical projects developed so that they can be integrated into a mobile application designed to improve their mobility and accessibility. The prototypes are both digital and physical, so that people who do not have or are not familiar with a smartphone can also benefit from the project.
